Artist Review: Dell U2717D Monitor

Dell U2717D is a budget IPS screen good enough for graphic design work. Downside is there is blacklight bleeding when your room is in total darkness. If you want an even better screen, then go for the Dell UP2716D (reviewed at )

  2. This one, or Q2790PQU? I can get Q2790PQU for 80 euro cheaper. I need monitor for coding and casual gaming. Maybe watghing some movies from time to time. But mainly for coding. Prefer to go with cheaper if not noticable differnce. But if dell is worth money, then il go with it.

  3. Hey @TeohYiChie, should I get the Dell U2419H monitor as my budget is tight. The monitor only supports 1080p and I mainly do graphic design and digital painting, will 1080p suffice for these types of work?

Jk dude, good review though, very detailed. I am considering getting one of these as a second display for my gaming laptop (which is actually my work laptop, first and foremost).

  5. Hello, I have a MacBook Air (11-inch, Early 2014) and bought the monitor. I bought a Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort Adapter Cable. I plugged it. My Mac recognized the monitor, but the monitor said "No DP signal from your device". Please help. Thanks.

  6. Hi Chie, Thanks for the great review. I'm looking for a monitor for programming purpose and some photoshop work (only 10% of total time), mostly programming. Is this a good monitor for that purpose or its a overkill. Please suggest, something else in Dell, if this one is overkill. Thanks again
